LOL 3the new season of the Amazon Prime Video game show, has arrived on the streaming platform. The first four episodes were uploaded on March 9, while to find out who managed to last six hours without bursting out laughing, we will have to wait a little longer. The last two episodes in which the winner will be revealedIndeed, will be available on the platform starting next Thursday. After the success of the first two editions, the cast of season 3 is also giving us many funny moments. Particularly the return was especially appreciated of one of the funniest contestants of Lol – Whoever laughs is out 2, Maccio Capatonda. After the first season really made a bang, Amazon Prime Video is investing heavily in this format which still seems to have a strong hold on the public.
But after LOL 3, how much longer could this game show go on? Frank Matano tried to answer this question.
The Neapolitan comedian, after having distinguished himself as a competitor in the first season of Lol – Whoever laughs is out, was chosen to support Fedez in running the show. In an interview that you gave to Tvblog.it to advertise LOL 3 Frank Matano spoke of the fate that could befall this flagship product of the streaming platform. Between Christmas specials, spin-offs and new seasons, Amazon Prime Video isn’t abusing this format too much? Isn’t there a fear that this formula, which has been successful so far, may tire the public? The Neapolitan comedian assured that the top management of the platform knows how to recognize when something no longer works and that, when this happens, they will be able to stop at the right moment. As for him, he hopes this moment never comes and has said he is ready to present Lol – Whoever laughs is out forever. He also explained the reasons why this show is so loved:
“Those of Amazon Prime Video are good when he gets tired we won’t see him anymore. I would do it for life, I find it a real social experiment for comedians, a psychological mental physical test, of how comedians of different backgrounds and ages interact with each other, that thing is authentic and in comedy we need authenticity and contexts where they can be themselves“.
He also spoke in the same interview Nino Frassica, who spoke about his experience in LOL 3. The comedian praised this experience that he lived as a game and that made him feel like a child again. Here’s what he said to Tvblog.it:
“It’s really a game, I’m a child again. I was the oldest, perhaps Luca and Paolo were older when added together. An injection of youth, I feel young like them”
