Hotel Portofino: What awaits us in season 2
The tale of Hotel Portofino restarts from the summer of 1927. Bella (McElhone) devotes all her energies to the hotel, which has overcome its teething problems and is beginning to prosper, while her husband Cecil and son Lucian (Mark Umbers e Oliver Dench) are located in England. But when Cecil shows up unannounced in Portofino, Bella is forced to confront the reality of her relationship with her husband and decide whether to accept him back into her life or give in to her ever-growing friendship with the charming local architect Marco Bonacini, played by the new addition to the cast George Marchesi (The doctors).
Cecil, meanwhile, schemes to make the hotel part of his murky schemes with the local fascist dignitary, Vincenzo Danioni (Pasquale Esposito), and forces Bella to make deals with regular guests Claudine Pascal and Carlo Albani (Lily Frazer e Daniel Pecci) to mitigate the damage. Even his children face difficult choices: Lucian struggles to reconcile his undeniable attraction to Constance (Louisa Binder) with his marital responsibilities for the unhappy Rose (Claude Scott-Mitchell), and Alice (Olivia Morris) threatens to throw his caution to the wind with an inappropriate engagement. As an icing on the cake, an anonymous visit from an inspector could be decisive for the hotel’s future.
