Even in the second season of Sex/Life, viewers were faced with a very bold male nude and wondered if actor Jonathan Sadowski was wearing a prosthetic: here’s what we know.
Sex/Life it is certainly not a series that goes unnoticed and also this second season, which recently arrived on Netflix, is doing the talking for itself. The reason, again, is one frontal and integral nude scene in the final episode starring Devon (the character played by Jonathan Sadowski): looking at it, one automatically wonders whether or not the actor is wearing a prosthetic penisthe so-called stunt cock not infrequently used on sets (especially those of porn films, of course) for scenes of this type. Here’s some background and what we know.
Sex/Life 2: Behind the scenes of the full nude of Devon
The scene in question is featured in the sixth episode of season 2. After Devon gets into a car accident while receiving oral sex and has to have penile reconstruction surgery, he flaunts it in the locker room in front of Cooper (Mike Vogel). During the car crash one of the prostitutes, Piper, bit Devon’s penis. The latter explains that during the surgery the surgeons inserted a pump to help move the penis. He thus demonstrates it to Cooper, leaving the spectators in front of a decidedly unfiltered scene.

The creator of Sex/Life Stacy Rukeyser told to Cosmopolitan UK that the show’s creative team loves to come up with funny and a little shocking moments like this for fans of the show. “Me and the writers of Sex/Life we love big twists and creating those TikTok-worthy OMG moments our fans look forward to. Devon has been a very bad boy, the devil on Cooper’s shoulder all season who also gleefully cheats on his wife, Trina. And in our universe, men who do this are punished. In this case, they have their penis bitten off in the middle of a terrible car accident!” the showrunner explained with conviction.
The precedent of the first season: but is it real or fake?
But, in the end, did Jonathan Sadowski wear a prosthesis or not? Stacy Rukeyser wants to leave viewers wondering. “I’m not sure. We will never say. I will repeat what Adam Demos said in the first season: ‘A gentleman never says that'”, the creator replied. The reference is to a famous scene from the first season where the protagonist was Brad (Adam Demos), naked in the shower. Even on that occasion neither the actor nor Rukeyser clarified whether or not a prosthetic was used. “I can say that a double was not used. We leave everything to the imagination of the viewer,” said the showrunner. One thing is certain: in the universe of Sex/Life it’s really hard to find “normal” sized male members.
