According to the president of Paramount Global, Mission: Impossible 7 is still too long; his claims come after the first test screenings.

New statements from the president of Paramount Global have revealed that at the moment Mission: Impossible 7 (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One) was offered to some viewers with premieres test projections, anticipating that the film still needs some modifications, being too long. Given the huge budget involved in the game also highlighted in the trailer, it is not surprising a prolonged duration, perhaps linked to the presence of some spectacular action sequences.
“I haven’t seen all of Mission: Impossible 7, but I’ve seen enough”Bob Bakish (President of Paramount Global) said during Paramount’s panel at the 2023 Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference on March 8.
Bakish, speaking of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, added: “We actually had the first test screening for a select audience last week, and people in the theater lost their minds. But it’s still too long, they have to cut it. The movie is still crazy. It’s like an adrenaline rush, and Tom Cruise is very good.”
