The new Marvel series is expected on Disney + for the spring of 2024.
Fantasizing about what punishments Frank Castle has been inflicting since The Punisher has been deleted is no longer needed. It will show Daredevil: Born Againthe new series with which Disney+ will follow up on the equally cancelled Daredevilwith the ruthless vigilante played again by Jon Bernthal. He reports it The Hollywood Reporterconfirming a piece of information that Marvel series veteran Rosario Dawson let slip several months ago (an obviously premature announcement that she then tried to retract).
What we know about Daredevil: Born Again
Available to stream in Spring 2024, Daredevil: Born Again will report Charlie Cox as lawyer by day and vigilante by night Matt Murdock/Daredevil e Vincent D’Onofrio in those of his archenemy Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. The 18-episode series also enlisted Michael Gandolfini (The Many Saints of New Jersey), Daisy Levieva (The Deuce) e Sandrine Holt (American Gigolo), the first with a mysterious role and the other two, it seems, as the new love interests of Murdock and Fisk respectively. No details were also disclosed of the character entrusted to Nikki M. James (Split).
Bernthal first stepped into the mantle of Frank Castle/The Punisher during season 2 of Daredevil. A highly decorated ex-Marine and a devoted father and husband, following the brutal murder of his family, Frank has become a ruthless vigilante, determined to clean the streets of New York City from crime, supported not by superpowers but only by his incredible strength of will and his military skills. The interest aroused by the character prompted the producers and Netflix to shape a spin-off, The Punisherremained on television for two seasons.
Since his cancellation, the character has not reappeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, unlike Matt Murdock/Daredevil, seen in the film Spider-Man: No Way Home and in the miniseries She-Hulk: Attorney at Lawand Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, who appeared in the miniseries Hawkeye. Both will also be in Echospin-off of Hawkeye centered on Alaqua Cox’s character of the same name.
