The message from Giovanni Scardina, brother of boxer King Toretto, who fell ill last week and was fighting for his life: “A week ago Daniele began the most important battle of his life.”
On the afternoon of Tuesday 28 February last, the boxer Daniele Marco Scardinaalso known under the pseudonym of King Torettohe fell ill after the training session and has been there ever sinceeight for life. Unhinge he underwent emergency surgery, the surgery was successful but he is still sedated.
Today, eight days later, a message from the boxer from Rozzano appeared on the Instagram profile brother, Giovanni Scardina who wrote:
“A week ago Daniele began the most important battle of his life and today he silently continues to fight to win it. The Scardina family thanks the doctors, who have never failed to provide incredible support and attention, and also thanks all those who, with a a message and a thought warmly gathered around our Dani. Those who know and love Daniele know how much faith and community are very important values for him. Today at 20 and like every day we want to unite in prayer. Wherever you are yes, we ask you to join us in spirit. We are sure that God is with him. Never lose faith. Thank you. Giovanni Scardina”
“There are some improvements, now we have to wait and be patient – said the manager recently, Alessandro Cherchi – Daniele is breathing autonomously, he is responding to all the reminders and all the impulses that are being given to him.
