One of three new series set in the world of TWD in the works, it will hit TV in 2024.

Absent from the small screen since the conclusion of Lucifer a year and a half ago, Lesley-Ann Brandt has signed on with American network AMC to play a major recurring role in the spin-off sequel to The Walking Dead centered around Rick and Michonne, the characters from Andrew Lincoln e Call Gurirawhich has just begun shooting in New Jersey.

The plot of the spin-off and the role of Lesley-Ann Brandt

As yet untitled, the 6-episode miniseries (airing no earlier than next year) tells the epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world, separated by distance, with an unstoppable force. Ghosts of what they once were, Rick and Michonne are cast into another world, one founded on a war against the dead…and against the living. Will they be able to find each other and themselves in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before? Are they enemies? lovers? Victims? Without each other, are they still alive, or will they discover they are the walking dead too?

Second DeadlineBrandt, the first interpreter outside the universe of The Walking Dead to join the cast of the spin-off, will take on the role of a character whose name is currently known only: Pearl Thorne. This sequel, we recall, joins those dedicated to Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and the unlikely couple Maggie and Negan (Lauren Cohan e Jeffrey Dean Morgan), titled respectively The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon e The Walking Dead: Dead City and airing later this year and in the spring.
