Stranger Things 5 season begins to take shape, but it will be the last for the Netflix phenomenon series.
The official news comes on the day of Thursday 17 February 2022when the streaming giant announces not only the release date of the wait fourth seasonreleased in two tranches of episodes on 27 maggio and the June 1, 2022, but also confirms the return of a fifth final chapter. It is therefore a bit of bittersweet news for all fans of Stranger Things, those who have been passionate about this global phenomenon since 2016 with over 65 accolades e 175 candidature.

“Seven years ago we imagined the entire story arc of Stranger Things and foreseen a duration of four or five seasons. Then we realized that four would have been too few, but you too will see that we are getting closer and closer to the finale. In fact, the fourth season will be the penultimate and the fifth the last”.
These are the words released by the authors of the series in one special letter addressed to the fans.

The message of Matt e Ross Duffer then continues with some important clues that lead us to think that there would still be “so many captivating stories and tell related to the world of Stranger Things. New mysteries, new adventures e unexpected new heroes“.
That the Duffer brothers are already thinking of some possible ones spin-off of the series?
When does Stranger Things 5 come out?
We are already wondering what time does season 5 come out Stranger Things. At the moment we still do not know an official release date for the fifth and final season of the series. Let’s imagine seeing it though during 2024; according to Production Weeklyfilming was supposed to start in May 2023. The confirmation that the first take takes place in May also came from Noah Schnapp – Will Byers’ actor – during a direct. Recently David Harbor – the actor of Hopper – revealed that production will start from June.
On the occasion of Stranger Things Day 2022, the official account of the series has revealed the title of the first episode of the fifth season which is “The Crawl” or “The Stripped”.
Stranger Things 5 and the mystery of “Ashe”
The first rumor about the future of Stranger Things it comes from the sci-fi site Murphy’s Multiversewhich in recent days has published a news item regarding i casting for the fourth season. Specifically, a debut character in the new episodes it would be fundamental to the narrative development of the fifth season of Stranger Things.
Second Murphy’s Multiversethe project currently in the pipeline plans to carry out Stranger Things 5 as the series’ final season. The character in question is called Ashe and would be part of the main cast of the fourth.

The production house would be looking for “an American guy in his twenties of any ethnicity to play a role that would involve a contract for two years”. This meant, in a nutshell, that Ashe’s character arc, described as key to Season 4, would extend into Season 5.

Since the debut of the second season, the creators of the series have said they are inclined to make only four seasons for two reasons: to avoid a qualitative drop in the series, and the age of the young protagonists who, it goes without sayingthere are no children left forever.
In an interview dating back to October 2017, the executive producer of Stranger Things Shawn Levy had opened a window on the possibility of a fifth season.

Referring to a statement of Ross Dufferco-creator of the series with his brother Mattwho had spoken of a project that included only four seasons “And then that’s it”, Levy had replied: “In truth we will definitely do four seasons and there is a high probability of a fifth. Beyond that, it will be very unlikely (moving on)”.
A few weeks after these words from Levy, the same brothers Dufferhad slightly changed their stance on Stranger Things 5. “We’ll probably get to four or five seasons. But who knows? There is nothing official. We know where we want to go but we still have to figure out how long it will take us to get there. We will see” said Ross Duffer. Twin brother Matt added: “It’s difficult because four seasons seem too few and five too many!

Fortunately Netflix breaks the delay, and in the end Stranger Things 5 comes true.
Stranger Things 5 plot
What is the fifth and final season about? In an interview with the site Gold Derby, David Harbour had mentioned the fifth season of more than once Stranger Things while he was talking aboutnarrative evolution of the series in reference to his character, lo sheriff Hopper.
“What I can tell you is that in seasons 4 and 5if we’re ever able to spin again, there will be many revelations about the complexity of the story, which is very rich, and I can’t wait for you to see all of this” Harbor explained, adding later: “We have the ability to see the series as a single story, because we know the end of itso you too will be able to watch it and see the seeds we planted in the third season bear fruit in seasons 4 and 5”.

To reveal it is a tweet shared by @Strangerwriters which shows us a table with eight columnsthose that presumably correspond to the eight new episodes coming soon to the streaming giant.
But that’s not all, because in the same photo we notice a more traced line between the fourth and fifth column that divides the table in two parts half perfectly.
