With the debut imminent, new updates keep pouring in regarding one of DC’s upcoming comic-related projects – and the latest one is sure to make fans of the horror genre jump for joy.
In fact, according to what was communicated, Doug Bradleyhistorical face of the Pinhead demon in the film saga Hellraiser, will appear in the first season of Gotham Knightscast as Joe Chill, the criminal who murdered Bruce Wayne’s parents as they left a cinema.
“When we were about to cast the iconic role of Joe Chill, arguably the man who created Batman, only one name came to mind: Doug Bradley”the producers of the TV series said Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux e Natalie Abrams. “We needed a performer who would do justice to a character so pivotal to the DC Comics canon. And who could better embody the role of the classic Gotham demon than the actor whose legendary portrayal of another unmistakable dark entity, Pinhead in the Hellraiser franchise, continues to terrify generations of horror fans?!”.
According to the description released by The CW network, “the character irrevocably changed the face of Gotham when he cruelly murdered Bruce Wayne’s parents and, after fifty years in prison on death row, Joe Chill will soon be executed. The infamous ‘Protector’ of the city’s villains has no but no intention of letting his secrets die with him”.
Waiting to see him in action in the sixth episode, we remind you that the premiere will air in America next March 14.
