The latest chapter of the mystery teen drama created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa debuts in the United States, on The CW, on March 29th.
Riverdale jump back several decades in the seventh and final season, arriving in the US starting next March 29. The CW has spread the official trailer of the final chapter that makes us understand what we have to expect: mystery, supernatural situations, couples in disarray and obviously a lot of pomade.
Riverdale: Where were we?
In the season 6 finale, you will remember, Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) had used his powers to stop a comet that was heading straight for Riverdale. The series thus time-jumped to the year 1955, with Archie and the rest of the group having started high school all over again (but in a different time). Jughead (Cole Sprouse), for still unknown reasons, is the only one who remembers their previous lives, but has trouble convincing his friends that they are actually from the future.
The advances
Archie (KJ What) is not interested in going anywhere. “We’re young in high school. Life is good,” he says in the trailer. He and the others seem happy, though the couples have definitely been reshuffled: Betty is dating Kevin (Casey Cott), even though he continues to exchange prying glances with men and Archie is even about to marry Cheryl. Also, Veronica (camila mendes) is now a glamorous Hollywood celebrity and seems to get a kiss right from Jughead.
Among the new additions to the cast are Nicholas Barasch (Bull) as Cheryl’s twin brother e Karl Walcott (Moonfall) as Clay Walker, a teenager who has a “high impact friendship” with Kevin.
