The Boston Strangler tells the story of the serial killer from the point of view of two journalists who are the first to take an interest in the case. Loretta McLaughlin, a reporter for the Record-American newspaper, was in fact the first to connect three cases of unsolved murders, assuming that they were all the work of the same killer.
