In the past few hours, the American network AMC has shared a new teaser trailer for The Walking Dead: Dead City, the long-awaited spin-off of The Walking Dead.
The short clip shows never-before-seen scenes of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), the capture of Hershel Rhee – Maggie’s son (Lauren Cohan) – and the appearance of a monstrous creature in one New York has long been isolated from the mainland. The metropolis is ravaged not only by zombies but also by inhabitants who wreak havoc.
After the past narrative set in rural Georgia, Virginia and Ohio, Morgan said shooting in a city was even more fun:
“We’re coming out of the woods to go to New York, which has been really exhilarating. I would describe Dead City as a new kind of danger”.
The details of this new TV series are not yet known in which two characters from the past and with extremely difficult pasts find themselves united, united by this new adventure yet to be discovered.
The American actor, also known for his roles as Denny Duquette in Grey’s Anatomy and John Winchester in Supernatural, spoke about the new project:
“This spinoff takes place a couple of years after The Walking Dead ended, and here’s the problem with those two years: We don’t see what happens to these characters. “It was crazy, which probably happened to you. How do we bring these two characters together? There was a lot of talk about spin-offs and how they were going to make them. They were talking to me and Lauren about the possibility of making one with our protagonists at the center.”.
During the Comic-Con convention in New York, the release period of Dead City was announced, officially set for next April.
During 2023, AMC will present two more spin-offs: The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon and The Walking Dead: Summit with Rick and Michonne.
