Eric’s interpreter in the Netflix teen comedy, also busy on the set of Doctor Who, could leave the series very soon.
Let’s get ready to say goodbye to Eric Effiong, one of the most beloved characters of Sex Education. An Instagram post by Dear friendback on the set of the teen comedy of Netflix, leaves little doubt: he is about to say goodbye to the series that launched his career, now in constant ascent. The actor, on the other hand, is very busy with the filming of Doctor Who since, starting from season 15, he will play the prestigious role of the famous Doctor of the title.
Sex Education: Add Ncuti Gatwa to the series
“Last day. Last time. Hi friends, thanks for all the lessons and all the strength,” Gatwa wrote on Instagram, posting a photo from his trailer. Her costar Aimee-Lou Wood commented on the post writing, “My heart hurts a lot.” Previously, the actor had assured that he would return in the fourth season of Sex Education. At this point, however, we don’t know for how long. He may be busy playing the bubbly Eric, the friend of the protagonist Otis (Asa Butterfield), in fewer episodes than expected.
