Paul, Della and Perry prepare to face the trial of the century in the trailer for Perry Mason 2, arriving in April on HBO Max.

In recent days, the trailer for the second season of has been released on the net Perry Mason, one of the most popular HBO series in recent years. The new episodes will debut on April 6.
In Season 2, months after the end of the Dodson trial, Perry (Matthew Rhys) has moved off the farm, ditched the milk truck, even traded his leather jacket for a suit. It’s the worst year of the Depression, and Perry and Della (Juliet Rylance) have put the company on a safer path by pursuing civil cases instead of the tumultuous work that criminal cases entail. Unfortunately, there isn’t much work for Paul (Chris Chalk) in wills and contracts, so he has left the firm. An open and closed case grips the city of Los Angeles, and Perry’s quest for justice reveals that all is not always as it seems.
Based on characters created by Erle Stanley Gardner, Perry Mason is written by Jack Amiel and Michael Begler, who also serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Robert Downey Jr, Amanda Burrell and Susan Downey are executive producers with Team Downey. Rhys is an executive producer in addition to starring. Joe Horacek also serves as executive producer, with Regina Heyman as co-executive producer.
