Debbie (Reese Witherspoon) and Peter (Ashton Kutcher) are longtime best friends and stark opposites in the way they live their lives. She longs for the routine of her with her son in Los Angeles; as he pushes for change in New York. When they swap homes and lives for a week, they discover that what they think they want may not be what they really need.
This brings back the synopsis of From me or from you, with the two friends who have a spicy past that will not take long to gradually emerge over the course of events. The cast also includes Steve Zahn, Tig Notaro, Griffin Matthews and Zoe Cha. The comedy was written and directed by Aline Brosh McKenna, known for being the showrunner of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and the screenwriter of The Devil Wears Prada, a blockbuster film starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway. This is her directorial debut.
