At the heart of Ballerina Overdrive is the story of a group of professional dancers who find themselves struggling for survival as they attempt to escape from an inn into thin air after their bus breaks down en route to a dance competition.

Based on a screenplay by Kate Freund, the film starring Lena Headey will be produced by Kelly McCormick, David Leitch and Annie Marter of 87North. Its shooting will begin in the second quarter of 2023 in Serbia, also including stunt designers from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Project Artemis, Heidi Moneymaker and Renae Moneymaker.
