A new controversy is underway in the Amici di Maria De Filippi school, generated by a letter from the former professor Garrison to Alessandra Celentano. Let’s find out its content together.
Garrison Rochelle e Alessandra Celentano they often clashed already when they were in the school of Amici together, due to the different vision of the way of seeing dance. And now that the former professor has long since left the program Maria De Filippi – after a few forays as a judge – the rivalry was thought to have petered out. But, instead, a new controversy was ignited, served with a long letter from Garrison ad Alessandra Celentano.
Amici 22, controversy between Garrison and Celentano
The letter was published in the weekly DiPiù and is full of rather harsh comments against the dance teacher. Although I would like to specify that I have a good bond with her and that I am fond of her, Garrison he also pointed out how sometimes her colleague’s harsh comments hurt him. The former professor knows very well that he had many quarrels with his colleague, which arose precisely from a different conception of dance.
if, in fact, Alessandra Celentano has always stressed that technique must be the foundation of a dancer, for Garrison it is the emotions that are transmitted that give value to the dance and on this point the two have always clashed. The former professor also recalled that it was he who advised Maria De Filippi – with which Celentano has a twenty-year friendship – to hire her, because he believed she was an excellent professional.
Today, years later, however, he is also convinced that his colleague is excessively strict:
“You order and don’t teach, I assure you that you can say the same things more politely. Then, excuse my frankness, but you are too selective”
In fact, still in this edition, Alessandra Celentano has continue to support his line of thought, yet, there have also been some openings towards the students, to whom he has shown humanity and kindness: with Ritahis former student, for example, or even with Find to whom he promised the scholarship of a prestigious Academy in Munich. Not to mention the last meeting he had with the dance students, in which he underlined that he didn’t want to exploit them, but to teach them something.
In short, perhaps, the accusations of Garrison may not be so 100% true, but the fact remains that it is still true that Celentano have some idea of a dancer’s body and how you still scold students for their physicality.
