Percy Jackson & the Olympians has been in development for three years, with production starting in June 2022 and with filming for episodes done over the next eight months.
Finally, the executive producer Becky Riordan revealed on Twitter that today was “The Last Day of Shooting”for the first season of the TV series.
Despite the long-awaited milestone, the team behind the show still has work to do: as pointed out by Rick Riordan in the previous updates, in fact, they have to deal with post-production, which will occupy most of 2023.
This program suggests a possible release date in 2024.
The show’s first season will consist of eight episodes chronicling the events of the first of five books by Percy Jackson.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians will then follow the story of twelve-year-old Percy Jackson who, after discovering that he is the son of a god of ancient Greece, will be accused of having stolen his powerful thunderbolt from Zeus.
The boy will then join his friends Grover and Annabeth, a satyr and another demigoddess, on an adventurous journey in search of the iconic lightning bolt, to restore order to Olympus.
