A statue weighing 100 kilos of the green ogre Shrek has been stolen in a small Pennsylvania town called Hatfield. The police don’t know where to look and have launched an appeal via Twitter. And to think that the opera wasn’t even that great.
There is no limit to human folly, now there is no doubt about it. Proof of this is the theft of a statue weighing 1 quintal of Shrek, the green ogre once branded Dreamworks that we enjoyed so much in the various films that saw him as a protagonist. The artwork is concrete and despite being dressed as Shrek and has the same color as it, it doesn’t look much like the model. However someone took her away, and the scene of the crime is a path in Hatfield, a small town in Pennsylvania.
The police are groping in the dark
The Harfield police immediately gave the alarm of the disappearance, kindly asking the culprit, through a tweet, to put the statue of Shrekwhich in any case is a testimony of affection towards one of the nicest characters in animated films of the third millennium.
Hatfield Police are looking for this approximate 200lb cement SHREK SCULPTURE that went missing from his home on Mountain Rd. If you have any information, you are asked to call the department or return him in the condition you found him.

What’s up with Shrek 5?
The theft of the statue of Shrek reminds us that Shrek 5which would come later Shrek and they lived happily ever after, has never been filmed and that in the immediate future no one intends to do it. In 2016 Dreamworks began thinking about a new film starring the green ogre, and in 2017 the script was ready, but the project never took off. Certainly the pandemic has not helped, but, given the success of Puss in Boots 2: The Last Wishit is possible that an unprecedented adventure of Shrek, Fiona, Donut, etc. really make a splash, obviously in a good way. But maybe it’s too late. New film yes or new film no, the monument to Shrek it should still go back to where it was put.
