A few days after attending the Golden Globes 2023 and after seeing Austin Butler go on stage for playing his father, Lisa Marie Presley she died suddenly at the age of 54. The actor recently returned to talk about the death of his daughter Elvis Presley, revealing that the two had become very close before his unexpected disappearance.
Lisa Marie had praised Butler’s performance in Elvis long before awards season, calling the young performer “nothing short of spectacular“. From then on she and her mother Priscilla attended numerous events in order to publicize the film.
The protagonist of the film, interviewed by Jimmy Kimmel, recently recalled: “I first met Lisa when we screened the film at Graceland. I’ve never had an experience like that, I’ve never had such an immediate affinity with anyone. She was someone who had nothing to prove and didn’t open up to everyone. But she opened up to me. We got really close so fast, so her death was just devastating for me.”

Lisa Marie Presley passed away on January 12, 2023 at the age of only 54 due to cardiac arrest. The singer was buried next to her late son and her father at the family’s Memphis estate after a funeral service attended by a number of music stars such as Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose, who sang November Rain.
