The Boogeyman, a horror based on one of Stephen King’s scariest stories, of which the Italian trailer has just been released, will arrive at the cinema on June 1st.

To direct the film is Rob Savage and in the cast there are Sophie Thatcher, Chris Messina, Vivien Lyra Blair, Marin Ireland, Madison Hu, LisaGay Hamilton e David Dastmalchian. And it has finally arrived the official Italian trailer.
The Boogeyman, the story and the plot of the film
The Boogeyman was published in 1973 in the magazine Cavalierand in 1978 it was included in the collection of Stephen King “Sometimes They Come Back”. Here the title is The Baubau. The story takes place in a psychiatrist’s office to which a man tells his belief that his three children were killed by the monstrous creature of the title. The plot of the film deviates from the origin and is as follows: “High schooler Sadie Harper and her younger sister Sawyer are devastated by the recent death of their mother and do not receive much support from their father, Will, a therapist who is, in turn, coping with his own pain. When a desperate patient shows up unexpectedly at their home seeking help, he leaves behind a terrifying supernatural entity that preys on families and feeds on the suffering of its victims.”
