When I called her for the fourth year in a row, she said: “Let’s meet , I saw the Festival and noticed the change, I like watching it and I’m excited about your proposal”
“Each girl (Ferragni, Francesca Fagnani, Paola Enogu and Chiara Francini) will give a monologue on a precise theme. The real revolution was to give an important space on this stage to many women who could tell their own story, launching reflection and bringing something important that they feel close to their sensitivity, their own battle”
Of the discussed hosted by the Ukrainian president Zelensky, the conductor stated:
“We are in contact, I asked to be present with a recorded message. It must be a message of peace, it will be broadcast on Saturday evening after the 28 performances of the singers in the competition. I understand and I am not surprised that your intervention can divide, but all wars are horrible and we have a duty not to forget it”.
