Reboot 2 will not be there
Will not do Reboot 2. Last November, the comedy created by Steven Levitan for Disney-branded streaming platforms also debuted in Italy on Disney+. On Monday, January 30, Hulu officially announces the cancellation of the series, which – it must be said – had a pedigree not indifferent.
Enter the world of Disney+, NOW
This is the new series by Levitan, who became famous in the last decade for his series Modern Family, one of the most successful recent cults on the front comedy as well as the cornerstone of the Disney Television offer. According to rumors collected by Deadline, Levitan and 20th Television would be willing to offer the second season to other interlocutors, with a streaming platform (currently unspecified) who would like to read the scripts of the next episodes to evaluate whether to commit to production.
The plot of the series is a lot meta: Hulu – the platform that commissioned and distributes Reboot in the United States – decides to reboot Step Right Up, a family sitcom that aired in the early 2000s, forcing its dysfunctional cast to reunite and work together again. Now this group of actors and actresses find themselves facing their unsolved problems in today’s rapidly changing world.

In the Season 1 finale, Bree brings up Reid to come out on top in an interview that catches her off guard. Reid’s girlfriend catches him out of the blue, while Hannah and Gordon learn that changes at the top echelons of the Hulu streaming service could put the series’ future in trouble. Zack encourages – and then discourages – Clay from buying a house.
The first season cast includes Keegan-Michael Key, Judy Greer, Johnny Knoxville, Paul Reiser, Rachel Bloom, Calum Worthy and Krista Marie Yu. The series was created by Steven Levitan, who serves as an executive producer alongside Danielle Stokdyk and Jeff Morton. The show is made by Steven Levitan Productions and Twentieth Television.
