Clare Francini will be among the co-hosts of this upcoming San Remo Festival: The actress and comedian has revealed how she received the offer to join the team set up by Amadeus and, of course, the anecdote could only elicit a few laughs.
Sanremo 2023, Chiara Francini on Amadeus’ proposal: “I ran to the bathroom every time he called me”
In an interview with the weekly Viewthe actress Clare Francini recounted that the proposal of Amadeus to work together in conducting the Festival came through… a whatsapp vowel! The actress revealed that she had received a message from an unknown number, signed Amadeus which was followed by a vowel with the unmistakable voice of the conductor of I Soliti Ignoti:
“I received this message from an unknown number signed Amadeus, followed by a vowel in which it was clear that it was his voice. I didn’t tell anyone it was him, not even my boyfriend. When he called me Amadeus, I ran in the bathroom, saying I have to wash my hands!”
This is her first Festival and it is, of course, not only a great job opportunity, but also the realization of a dream she had since she was a little girl and it is for this reason – and for a bit of superstition – that she hasn’t revealed to anyone about the proposal Amadeus until it was all made official. Francini will flank Clare Ferragniwhose decision to donate the cachet to charity has caused quite a stir, Francesca Fagnani e Paola Egonu.
