In Asterix & Obelix: The Middle Kingdomthe Phoenician merchant Graindemaïs introduces himself to village of the Gauls carrying Fu Yi: it is about the daughter of the empress of China, rescued from a coup d’état together with her warrior bodyguard. Asterix and Obelix can’t help but escort her back home to take back what belongs to her. Unfortunately the situation in China is precipitating, because Julius Caesar (Vincent Cassel), caused by Cleopatra (Marion Cotillard), intends to lend a hand to the rioters to make a name for themselves in Asia. The journey will be long, with several stages that will present our heroes with bizarre situations, but above all Asterix and Obelix will touch theamore: the first with the princess (who doesn’t seem to deign to look at him), the second with the aforementioned bodyguard, very good like him at giving her a thrashing to the bad guys…
