Tyler Posey led the cast Teen WolfMTV television series, playing Scott McCalla Californian high schooler whose life is turned upside down when he is bitten by an alpha wolf, which transforms him; Scotttogether with his trusted friend Stiles Stilinski he will have to defend his city from supernatural threats. Posey e Tyler Hoechlin (Derek Hale) reprized their roles for Teen Wolf: The Movie of Paramount+, in which the protagonist will have to assemble his team of allies to face one of their deadliest enemies, as well as the return of an important face.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight Canada to discuss the film on Paramount+, the star of Teen Wolf: The Movie spoke of the non-return of the colleague Dylan O’Brien.
When asked if it was possible to meet with the interpreter of Stiles, Tyler Posey expressed the hope to work with again O’Brien in the future, albeit outside the supernatural franchise:
“I will always want to work with Dylan. And even outside of ‘Teen Wolf’, I’d like to do one more thing with him. I just don’t know if it’s possible because of the connection between us and ‘Teen Wolf’”.
At the time of the film’s announcement, O’Brien he wasn’t the only original actor uncertain of returning for the sequel, as either Tyler Hoechlinwas reportedly unsure about returning for the project, only to finally be confirmed some eight months later. O’Brien he then spoke about his decision not to return for the film, stating that it was a decision “difficile” and that he tried to make his commitments work. Despite this, the actor has proved very supportive of Teen Wolf: The Moviestating that he will watch it opening night and that he hopes that “fuck everyone“.
Many of the colleagues spoke of the absence of the interpreter of Stilesincluding also Hoechlin, who recalled feeling his presence in the script. The creator of the series and screenwriter of the film, Jeff Davispreviously confirmed that the film will directly address the actor’s absence, teasing that there will be a major storyline in the film involving Lydiathe boy’s love interest, especially their relationship.
Although not the protagonist of the film, Dylan O’Brien has a unique bond with Teen Wolf: The Movieas he revealed that he had to lend the Jeep to production Stiles for his appearance; Davis he then explained that he gave the actor the vehicle with the promise that if they needed it in the future, he would return it.
This absence has left many fans of the franchise wondering whether the film will succeed without one of its key characters. Early reviews of the sequel were divided, with some praising its nostalgic elements and others criticizing its 140-minute running time and unconvincing ending. However, as most of them indicate that the door has been left open for more stories in the future. Only time will tell.
