Asterix & Obelix: The Middle Kingdom, the highly anticipated fifth film on the French cult series, directed by Guillaume Canet, will arrive in Italian cinemas, distributed by Notorious Pictures, on February 2nd. The two famous Gauls are Guillaume Canet himself (Asterix) and Gilles Lellouche (Obelix), together with them the Oscar winner Marion Cotillard in the role of Cleopatra, Vincent Cassel in those of Caesar and an unprecedented Zlatan Ibrahimović in the role of the Roman Caius Antivirus.
But the adventure of the two irreducible Gauls will also land in all newsstands, comic shops and bookshops on February 9, with the unpublished book Asterix and the Middle Kingdom which presents the illustrated adaptation of the cinematographic adventure. An edition, published in Italy by Panini Comics, which boasts the texts of Olivier Gay, the drawings of Fabrice Tarrin and the colors of Thierry Mébarki, historic colorist of Albert Uderzo. This new adventure will lead the two valiant warriors to distant China, where they will have to help Fu Yi, the only daughter of the Chinese emperor Han Xuandi, who escaped from the clutches of an evil prince and arrived in Gaul in search of their help.
