Giovanni Vescovo: from “Men and Women” to “You’ve Got Mail”.
Born in 1992, originally from Treviso, Giovanni Vescovo is one of the postmen in Maria De Filippi’s show “You’ve Got Mail”who joined this year after making his debut on the dating show by Men and women as a suitor at the court of Sonia Lorenzini.

Interviewed by Tv Smiles and Songs, Giovanni talked about his new television adventure. In over 20 years there have been just over a dozen postmen responsible for delivering invitations from Maria De Filippia crucial task for the success of the programme
“I don’t know exactly why they chose me, but I think for my ways of doing things: I always try to be kind and polite. Then maybe also for my clean image. I’m tenacious, I never lose my patience and I team up: I don’t elbow to prevail over the others”
“I’ve been a waiter, a warehouseman, a salesman, a model and a wine salesman. For some years now I’ve been working with my father who makes the capsules that cover the corks of sparkling wines. TV has always been a way that interested me, I studied in a film and theater academy in Rome, but I’ve never seen this as a priority. I like traveling and being in contact with people. In this sense, “C’è posta per te” is perfect. For me it’s not a place on TV, but a separate job. Not only am I a postman, I really feel like a postman”
“I have lived many experiences even if I have not yet been seen very much – Bishop continued – Between meetings with very shy people and others who have resisted, all sorts of things have already happened to me, I arm myself with patience and wait. Then the intercom of new and then again, but without becoming too intrusive. After all, my job is to deliver an invitation, there is no obligation to then reach the transmission if the person does not feel like it. Lately I was so moved that I I had to calm down and resume for a few minutes: I was going out on video with my eyes full of tears. My heart was in pieces. Because the program tells a bit of the stories of all of us, with our problems and the difficulties we have”
On the landlady, creator and presenter of the successful people show, Giovanni he has declared:
I like so many things about her, but above all her unique and incredible ability to fix what I call *broken vases” in family and love relationships. Seeing her speak live there in the studio often leaves me breathless. Over the years Maria has succeeded to create a “community” of people who follow and share their pains without fear. “I’m not very social so receiving so many compliments and nice words destabilized me a bit, even if I was so pleased. It seems absurd for someone who does TV, I know, but I’ll unlock everything soon, I promise!”
