Now that the first season of Willow has come to an end, fans of the Disney+ TV series are eager to find out if there will be a second season. The showrunner Jonathan Kasdan recently spoke about the cliffhangers of the finale, and revealed that it is “begging” Kathleen Kennedy of Lucasfilm to let them continue.
The show was produced by Ron Howardwho directed the 1988 film. Recently, Howard revealed that he wants to direct an episode of a potential second season, and offered an update on the renewal:
“Well, there’s always been a hope and a plan for more seasons. There’s definitely more story to tell, but there’s nothing concrete to comment on right now. Creatively, everyone’s full of energy, everyone loved working on Willow. She seemed to have found her voice, so we can’t do anything but wait.”.
The first season of Willow is available to stream on Disney+.
