There are less than 24 hours left for the second episode of the TV series The Last of Us, adaptation produced and distributed by the HBO broadcaster, of the video game produced by the Naughty Dogs company; the show is currently covering the story that gamers have come to know with the first game, released in 2013 for the Playstation. Despite the numerous controversies that have gone on in recent months (both for the casting of the protagonists and for some creative choices by Neil Druckman e Craig Mazinshowrunners of the show), the first episode was received much better than expected, surpassing Breaking Bad in the IMBD ranking.
Some clues, however, would suggest that Druckmann would already be looking for a character in the second chapter that fans have come to know: Abby.
What if we already have our Abby from The Last of Us?
The show’s creators are hoping that if the reception continues to be as strong and attendance continues to grow, they can adapt the second game as well from the show’s second season (although that’s still a long way off).
Whatever the case, some fans think HBO has already set their sights on the actress for Abby. The actress in question would be Shannon Berry: He’s someone fans are eyeing for the aforementioned role for a few reasons. First, she looks a lot like the character and the Berry he has also commented on this in the past, during the release of the second video game in June of 2020. This, however, does not necessarily mean something. However, other fans noted that the creator of the series and producer Neil Druckman they follow her on Instagram. The actress in turn follows her colleague Bella Ramsey (interpreter of Ellie in the television series) and the franchise’s official Instagram account.
Is it possible that she’s just friends with these people and really likes these games? Absolutely yes!
But it’s also the internet, so everything must have meaning and nothing is just a coincidence!
It will probably take some time before we have news on the casting of the characters in the second game (and above all we need to have a renewal from the TV station, which we don’t have yet, even if the numbers and the interest from the public play a key role in these situations).
Not only does it have to be written or plotted, but HBO will also want to do its due diligence to make sure they have the right person before casting someone.
