American HBO announces that the opening episode of its new live-action series based on the video game of the same name by Naughty Dog was watched in the United States Sunday night by 4.7 million viewers across all platforms on which it aired wave and was available. This is the second best series debut for the network since the launch of Boardwalk Empire in September 2010, watched by over 7 million viewers. Just a few months ago, the fantasy series House of the Dragon had recorded the best result ever by attracting almost 10 million viewers for the first episode.
