“I attended GFVip out of pure curiosity. I wanted to test myself. My big problem, despite the world of team sport behind me, is that of coexistence with others. In sport everyone has a single goal, while at home there are twenty people and each of them thinks differently from the other. I wanted to understand what coexistence would be like.
“The most beautiful thing that Big Brother Vip gave me is the fact of knowing before judging. We must not judge by appearance, by something you think or have heard. My mistake was comparing Big Brother Vip to the Island of the Famous. On the island, when something happened, or some quarrel, I jumped into the water, which I consider my second home, and I was there 13/14 hours a day. At the GF you are locked up in a house, under the eye of the cameras, you don’t have your own space and you can’t find your own space”. “See, this reality show makes you evaluate everything out there. For us athletes it is even more difficult. Before entering the house I met Aldo Montano, he said to me: ‘know that it is very difficult for us, don’t underestimate him. Remember that our life path is made up of goals, a continuous search’. On the island, for example, there was a goal every day: that of finding food. You were stimulated by this goal. Not in the house. The GfVip is based more on a psychological aspect than the island”.
The former gieffino confided that he had a lot of difficulty staying away from his family:
“I had asked to want to go out, I felt really bad. When Alfonso asked me if it had been my request to go out, I said yes, that I had asked to go out. I am totally dependent on my wife and children, it seems to me that it has been seen in the various reality shows I have done. The distance from one’s loved ones is the greatest difficulty, those with a family have greater difficulties than a single person. Especially with small children, we throw ourselves into the big bed together every evening to watch a movie. I underestimated this aspect with Big Brother. Alfonso over the years always told me: ‘you’re not ready, look, you’re not ready yet’. Going back and knowing what it means to stay in that house, I should prepare myself psychologically above all for the fact that I will miss the affections”.

“If I had to choose, then I would say my ‘son’ George. However, I believe that Edoardo Tavassi has a great chance of winning. He has the joke ready, he has fun and entertains a lot. He’s definitely a good character and he’s very strong on television. What I can tell you is that in my opinion Luca Onestini knows how to play very well. He knows the dynamics well, he knows how to behave intelligently within the reality show ”
