The FOX sitcom by Linwood Boomer ran for seven seasons, garnering widespread critical acclaim and winning seven Emmys during its run. Leading the cast Frankie Munizwhich starred Malcolm, while Bryan Cranston played his father Hal, Jane Kaczmarek his mother, Christopher Kennedy Masterson, Justin Berfield ed Erik Per Sullivan brothers Francis, Reese and Dewey. With pop-punk influences and 2000s culture, Malcolm in the Middle continues to be praised for his performances, storylines and intelligent single-cam shooting style.
In a recent interview Cranston addressed the possibility of a Malcolm in the Middle reunion actually happening.
As the actor acknowledges, there have already been some serious discussions about a movie revival of the TV series. Cranston He didn’t specify if anything was concrete yet, but expressed great excitement about revisiting his role as Hal and reuniting with “his family” 20 years later:
“There’s been talk of the possibility of doing it as a Malcolm in the Middle reunion movie. We’ve had such a great family, and I’d definitely be open to a revival if there was a good idea like, ‘Oh, it would be great to find out what happened to this family 20 years later.’ It would be fun to do that.”.
