SUBURRÆTERNA: The plot and the first details
SUBURRÆTERNA starts again in 2011. The government is in danger of falling, the Vatican is in crisis and the squares of the city are literally set on fire. In the middle world Cinaglia (Filippo Nigro) has tried to collect the Samurai legacy and, together with Badali (Emmanuele Aita), continues to manage the criminal affairs of the city, with the help of Adelaide (Paola Sotgiu) and Angelica (Carlotta Antonelli), who remained at the head of the Anacleti, and of Nadia (Federica Sabatini), which helps them manage the squares of Ostia. But there are those who no longer accept this system. New protagonists will take the field, upsetting the balance of Rome: thus begins a revolution that, from the Church to the Campidoglio and up to the beaches of Ostia, expands quickly to erase everything that represents the past. Spadino (Giacomo Ferrara) will therefore be forced to return home, to avoid that his family is endangered along with everything else, and to seek new allies, even where he would never have thought of finding them. But war is war and control of Rome is at stake.
SUBURRÆTERNA, which will have 8 episodesis taken from the literary work Suburra written by Giancarlo De Cataldo And Carlo Bonini – who also take care of the story editing – edited by Einaudi. The authors are Ezio Abbate And Fabrizio Bettelliwho also hold the role of Head Writer, Camilla Buizza, Marco Sani, Andrea Nobile And Giulia Forgione. Ciro D’Emilio he is directing the first four episodes, while Alessandro Tonda of the last four.
The cast: Who returns from Suburra
Giacomo Ferrara (Spadino), Filippo Nigro (Amedeo Cinaglia), Carlotta Antonelli (Angelica), Federica Sabatini (Nadia), Paola Sotgiu (Adelaide) and Emmanuele Aita (Ferdinand). Presumably they will be joined by new actors, interpreters of new “players” who want to get their hands on the city. Of course there won’t be Alessandro Borghi since, as you will remember, his character – Aureliano – died in the final episode of Suburra: The Series. The actor is also busy in this same period on the set of another Netflix series, Supersex, where he will play a young Rocco Siffredi.
