The Summer We Learned to Fly: The Storyline and Where We Left Off
Based on the novel of the same name by Kristin Hannah, a true literary case, The Summer We Learned to Fly (Firefly Lane in the original version) traces the friendship of two girls and then two women – Tully (Heigl), a famous TV personality haunted by a difficult past and from inner loneliness, and Kate (Chalke), a journalist who at one point in her life preferred to quit her job and start a family – over the course of three decades. From the first meeting in the 70s to the difficulties of adulthood in the 2000s, Tully and Kate have always supported each other, until an unimaginable betrayal pushes them away, perhaps forever.
