The new series available in streaming at Christmas. The actor reunites with Tim Allen and Elizabeth Mitchell.
It is becoming more and more a family Christmas – as it should be – what it is Disney + is preparing for the end of the year. The streaming service announced that in addition to Tim Allen And Elizabeth Mitchell, The Santa Clausessequel series to the famous 1995 Christmas movie Santa Clauseit will also involve David Krumholtz again in the role of Bernard, the beloved former elf he played in the first two films.
The Santa Clauses: The plot and the other cast members
Written by Jack Burditt (30 Rock, Frasier, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), The Santa Clauses finds Scott Calvin (Allen) on the threshold of 65 years of age, aware that he cannot be Santa Claus forever. He is starting to run out of steam in his responsibilities as Santa Claus, and more importantly, he has a family that could finally benefit from a life in the normal world, most notably his two children who grew up at the Pole. With plenty of elves, children and a family to please, Scott sets out on a search for a suitable Santa to replace him as he prepares his family for a new adventure for a life south of the Pole.
As we know from previous news, Mitchell will reprise the role of Carol Calvin, Scott’s wife introduced in the second film. Kal Penn (Dr. House) will play Simon Choksi, an ambitious game inventor and product developer and devoted single father, ostensibly the next Santa. Matilda Lawler (Station Eleven) will take on the role of Betty, Santa’s grumpy and pretentious chief of staff, the smartest elf in the room who doesn’t mind arguing with him to make sure the reindeer fly in time. Elizabeth Allen-Dick (Allen’s daughter in reality) e Austin Kane will be the children of Scott and Carol, Sandra and Cal. Devin Bright (The Unicorn) landed the role of Noel, one of Santa’s most trusted elves. While Rupali Redd she will play Grace, Simon’s loving daughter.
