At the start in Italy on Sky Atlantic the highly anticipated We Own This City – Power and CorruptionTV series HBO written and produced by David Simon (The Plot Against America) based on the documentary book of the same name by Justin Fenton, a reporter for the Baltimore Sun where Simon himself had worked at the time of The Wire
And it is precisely twenty years after the success of The Wire that we return to Baltimore with a new detective series that tells one of the most shocking scandals of recent years.
In the United States the miniseries was broadcast on HBO from 25 April to 30 May 2022, in Italy, however, We Own This City – Power and Corruption TV series premieres on Sky Atlantic since June 28, 2022every Tuesday with a double episode from hours 21:15until 12 July.

We investigate internal police crime through the collapse of the Gun Trace Task Force (GTTF), a special unit of the Baltimore Police Department involved in “one of the most shocking police corruption scandals in a generation”, As the New York Times called it.
We find ourselves between 2017 and 2018 when eight members of Baltimore’s GTTF are engulfed in a sudden and shocking corruption scandal, a discovery that makes the already historically complicated relationship between police and city residents, especially those of the community, even more troubled. Who do we find in the main cast of the miniseries? Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, Show Me A Hero) plays protagonist Wayne Jenkins, a sergeant and central figure of the Baltimore Police Department.
With him we also find Josh Charles (The Good Wife, In Treatment) as agent Daniel Hersl, famous for his brutality and who joined the GTTF after being banned from the Eastern District; Jamie Hector (BOSCH, The Wire) then plays Sean M. Suiter, homicide detective involved in the GTTF case and called to testify; Wunmi Mosaku (Lovecraft Country) is Nicole Steele, a lawyer in the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice, who investigates corruption in the police force.
The cast is completed by Darrell Britt-Gibson, Rob Brown, McKinley Belcher III, David Corenswet, Dagmara Domińczyk, Don Harvey, Larry Mitchell.
