Despite the period of great changes in the schedules of the television networks, with numerous cancellations that have involved primarily the CW network and CBS, instead there is good news for all fans of Dwayne Johnson and the sitcom Young Rock: NBC recently announced that it has renewed the comedy for a third season.
The series, conceived by Nahnatchka Khan And Jeff Chiangrevolves around the youth of the beloved wrestler “The Rock”, exploring various different moments of his life and showing the most important people who have been part of it, thus leading to analyze the path that made him the person he is.
To give the face of the professional wrestler are Adrian Grouix, Tito Marteddu And Manuel Meliwho play the role of Johnson at 10, 15 and 18-20 years old, respectively.
The Rock himself figures in the project not only as an executive producer, but also as an actor, playing a version of himself intent on running for president of the United States of America for 2032.
The second season covered the years of 1983, 1987 and 1996, the last of which was decidedly important for the athlete, who, after failing to find success in the Canadian Football League, decides to enter the world of professional wrestling.
According to an old interview from the executive producer Brian Gewirtzthe new episodes should be centered around WWE’s “Attitude Era”.
