Although FBI and its two FBI spin-offs: Most Wanted and FBI: International have been rewarded with renewals for two more episode cycles each, the CBS television schedule continues to undergo numerous changes and, following the recent removal of Magnum PI , two other series have suffered the same sad fate: it was in fact announced that the medical-drama Good Sam and the comedy How We Roll they will not return with new installments next yearboth ending their run after just one season.
The reasons for the choice are most likely linked to the low ratings recorded night after night by the shows, attested for the first on an average of 3.64 million viewers, with an approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes of 63%, while for the second out of 4.4 million, with a rating on the review site of 67%.
Created by Katie WechGood Sam followed the story of Dr. Sam Griffith (Sophia Bush), a heart surgeon who is appointed the new chief of surgery at Lakeshore Sentinel Hospital, when his boss – and father – Rob Griffith (Jason Isaacs of Star Trek: Discovery) ends up in a coma. But when the doctor opens her eyes again, her daughter will find herself having to supervise her work.
The plot of the sitcom How We Roll instead revolved around Tom Smallwood (Pete Holmes), a 35-year-old husband and father from the Midwest who, after being fired from the car factory where he was employed, will decide to follow his dream of becoming a professional bowling player.
