Richard Linklater will be the director of Hitmana comedy that will have as its protagonist Glen Powell.
The filmmaker will also be involved as a screenwriter on the project based on an article written by journalist Skip Hollandsworth.
Glen Powell will be involved as co-writer and star of Hitman, a film that tells the story of a Houston cop who is working undercover as a hired killer until one day he goes against protocol to help a desperate woman (Adria Arjona) trying to escape from an abusive boyfriend.
The Texas Monthly article told the fascinating story of killer Gary Johson, a Harris Country District Attorney’s Office investigator who pretended to be a killer to help the police in their investigation.
