Here are the first images of the new film by the Neapolitan director, which stars Pierfrancesco Favino and will be in the running for this year’s Palme d’Or. Nostalgia will debut in Italian cinemas on May 25th distributed by Medusa.
We present below the first teaser trailer of Nostalgiathe film by Mario Martone which will be presented in competition at the Cannes Film Festival 2022.
Based on the novel of the same name by Ermanno Rea, the film follows the story of Felice, a man who, after forty years away from home, returns to where he was born, the Sanità district, in the belly of Naples, where he rediscovers the places, the codes of the district and a past that devours him.
The protagonist of the film, in the role of Felice, is Pierfrancesco Favinoand in the cast there are also Francesco Di Leva, Tommaso Ragno, Aurora Quattrocchi, Sofia Essaidi, Nello Mascia, Emanuele Palumbo, Artem, Salvatore Striano and Virginia Apicella.
Nostalgia is a Picomedia and Mad Entertainment production in association with Medusa Film and in co-production with Rosebud Entertainment Pictures. It will be distributed by Medusa Film and will be released in Italian cinemas on May 25, 2022.
