During an interview with The Guardian, Robert Eggers spoke of the hypothesis of direct a movie for Marvel Studios; according to the director, his style wouldn’t help the MCU.
Speaking of his eventual involvement in the world of Marvel Studios, Robert Eggers said: “I had a great meeting with the studios – but not with Marvel. I don’t even know what to offer Marvel. Everything I’m particularly good at – or that makes me unique – it can’t help Marvel Studios. ”
Speaking of Matt Reeves’ The Batman, Robert Eggers said he only saw the film to honor his friendship with Robert Pattinson. Apparently, however, the director was surprised that Reeves managed to maintain his identity in a blockbuster of this size.
Robert Eggers is best known for directing The VVitch and The Lighthouse. His new film, The Northman, will be released in Italian cinemas on April 21 by Universal Pictures.
